Returns & Warranty
CMC Auto Electrics does not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect selection, or circumstances where the customer no longer requires the product.
All goods supplied by CMC Auto Electrics come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Under the ACL, customers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. For goods that do not amount to a major failure, CMC Auto Electrics reserves the right to repair or replace the item.
Any claims relating to faulty or defective products must be reported within three (3) days of delivery. Claims made outside this timeframe may be declined where permitted by law. To lodge a fault claim, customers must provide clear video evidence demonstrating the alleged fault, issue, or malfunction of the product. This evidence is required prior to approval of any return.
If a return is approved, the product must be returned at the customer’s expense or delivered in person to our business location. Returned items must be supplied in original packaging, where reasonably possible, and include all accessories, components, manuals, wiring, and fittings originally supplied with the product. Items returned without original packaging or missing components may be refused or returned to the customer.
Once the returned item has been received and assessed, CMC Auto Electrics will, at its discretion and in accordance with Australian Consumer Law, repair the product, provide a replacement, or issue a refund where legally required. Assessment timeframes may vary depending on the nature of the product and supplier requirements.
Some products sold by CMC Auto Electrics are supplied with a manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty terms, periods, and conditions may vary between products. Customers are responsible for reviewing and understanding the warranty information provided on the individual product page prior to purchase. Manufacturer warranties operate in addition to rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Warranty claims will not be accepted for products that have been damaged due to incorrect installation, misuse, neglect, unauthorised modification, exposure to unsuitable environments, or failure to follow manufacturer installation and usage instructions. Electrical and automotive products must be installed by suitably qualified persons where required.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law.
